MANILA, Philippines — The University of Santo Tomas-Gameville leaned on Al-Bukharie Sali’s breakout game and Josh Ybañez’s all-around effort to withstand Alpha Insurance, 26-24, 25-22, 35-37, 19-25, 22-20, in the Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference on Friday at Paco Arena.
Sali unleashed a career-high 28 points, while two-time UAAP MVP and Alas Pilipinas star Ybañez delivered 20 points, including the back-to-back game-clinching kills, and 30 excellent receptions.
